Regular sports cards were printed by the hundreds of thousands during the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Proof cards, on the other hand, are often one of a kind (depending on the type of proof). This scarcity make proof cards highly collectable, and much more valuable than their regularly-issued cousins. Learn more about the different proof types here .
